February 2015: A message from the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC)

For Federal employees, choosing a channel to make a difference is easy.  Over the past 50 years, the commitment and generosity of Federal employees has made the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) one of the most successful philanthropic programs in history.  In fact, since its inception in 1961, the CFC has raised more than $7 billion.    We invite you to participate in this year’s campaign through the Mid-Columbia Area CFC.
The LFCC would like to take this opportunity to thank the campaign coordinators and key workers for helping make the 2014 campaign successful – especially in light of the government budget issues this fall.
We would like to thank everyone for their pledges.  Last year the Mid-Columbia Area CFC raised  more than $128,000 in Benton and Franklin Counties alone.  YOU make this campaign possible!

Mid-Columbia Area 2015 Combined Federal Campaign application period runs from February 16, 2015 to close of business March 20, 2015.

Each application is reviewed for completeness.  A committee of local federal agency officials will then review all completed applications and only the agencies granted eligibility may receive federal employee contributions in 2015.  A link to both the completeness review and eligibility checklists can be found at www.midcolumbiacfc.com.

We encourage you to give us your valuable feedback regarding the application process and suggestions relating to training, campaign material, and the operation of the campaign.  For questions, feedback, or to obtain a hard copy of the application, please contact Sandy Wingfield at swingfield@midcolumbiacfc.com or Deborah Bourque at dbourque@midcolumbiacfc.com or (509) 783-4102.

The mission of the CFC is to support and promote philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.  The CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally, which helps raise millions of dollars each year.  Last year, over $130,000 dollars were raised in Benton and Franklin Counties alone.
